Looking for a job or career in Southwest Florida, here are some useful links to search online
Tip #1: Be prepared for a full background check with any employer including credit, criminal, workers comp and driving history. Don't bother trying to hide the facts, they will find out if it happened within the past 7 to 10 years.
Tip #2: Be sure your facebook or myspace photo is appropriate, many employers look for you online first to see a photo. Want to see what's out there about you? Go to any search engine such as google.com and type in your name.
Tip #3: Never ask in your interview "how many sick days do I get"
Tip #4: If they ask you during the interview if you have any questions, try "is this a new position or are your replacing someone". If they are replacing someone ask why they are leaving. If it's a new position there may be slight risk that it may not be long term.
Tip #5: Potential employers can NEVER ask you how old you are, what is your sexual orientation, what is your religion or if you plan on having children.
Tip #6: If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Never pay for anything to get a job. Never provide credit card information to apply for a job.
